Lava Mobiles today launched the world’s first Intel powered handset. Called the XOLO X900 , the specifications include a 1.6Ghz Atom Z2460 processor capable of Hyper Threading. The graphics chip is clocked at 400Mhz enabling playback of Full HD content and HD quality games
Based on the Intel’s Medfield chip reference design , the Android 2.3 powered phone comes with a 4.03″ screen. An update to ICS is expected to be available early next quarter. The screen resolution is 1024×600. An 8MP camera can be found at the back of the phone capable of capturing 1080p video. A burst mode which lets users capture upto 10 full resolution images is being touted as a specific feature of Intel’s chip design.
NFC and HDMI connectivity feature on the phone. Battery life is rated at 5 hours of 3G browsing , 45 hours of audio playback and 8 hours of talktime. The phone will be available via Croma or XOLO.in starting 23rd April for Rs 22,000.
