State run telecom PSU BSNL has decided to revise the base tariff of its CDMA prepaid services. BSNL has slashed tariffs for local, STD, roaming and SMS services for prepaid CDMA from 1st May’12. Local on net charges have been reduced from 60p/min to 45/min while call charges to other local networks will be 60p/min from the earlier 90p/min in the base tariffs. STD calls will now be 45p/min for BSNL network while 60p/min for other networks. Similarly SMS charges will now cost 50p for local and 60p for national reduced from 60p for local and Re 1 for national. Roaming charges have also been made attractive for CDMA prepaid customers.
