Bsnl to launch portal to sell premium numbers

State run Public Sector Unit BSNL is going to launch a new Portal to publicly sell premium/vanity numbers online. Earlier these numbers were sold through BSNL departments and very few people knew about it .The portal is http://eauction.bsnl.co.in/
But now BSNL has decided to make the process transparent so that everyone can buy the number of their choice.The portal will be launched on 1st June 2012

BSNL launches new website on the eve of World telecom day

Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited state run PSU has launched their new website on the occasion of World telecom day.The website was in a beta version for July 2011.

The new website uses a minimalistic approach and is user friendly.The website is available in Hindi and English and is IPv6 ready.Here is the link for the new website Do check and tell your views in the comments section 

BSNL Slashes CDMA Prepaid Tarrifs

State run telecom PSU BSNL has decided to revise the base tariff of its CDMA prepaid services. BSNL has slashed tariffs for local, STD, roaming and SMS services for prepaid CDMA from 1st May’12. Local on net charges have been reduced from 60p/min to 45/min while call charges to other local networks will be 60p/min from the earlier 90p/min in the base tariffs.  STD calls will now be 45p/min for BSNL network while 60p/min for other networks. Similarly SMS charges will now cost 50p for local and 60p for national reduced from  60p for local and Re 1 for national. Roaming charges have also been made attractive for CDMA prepaid customers.
