Nokia has announced that it will be undergoing Job cuts and factory closures to save itself from the ongoing crisis it has been undergoing . To overcome this Nokia has decided to perform 10,000 strong global job cuts .Out of which 3,700 of the total will be from the Homeland of the Company ,Finland
We heard Earlier that Salo will lose 1000 jobs but all this sudden change is due to the latest Financial reports of the company which report huge losses
Besides this Nokia also plans to shut down facilities in Salo, Ulm and Burnaby to prevent itself from being sold off .The Finns will also sell off their luxury phone brand, Vertu, to a Sweden based private equity firm EQT VI.
The cost reduction techniques are a try by the Finns to get back the company back into profit .
